Informed-Sport is a certification programme for sports supplements which assures athletes that products carrying the Informed-Sport mark have been regularly tested for substances considered prohibited in sport. In addition, Informed-Sport also ensures that products have been manufactured to high quality standards. Responsible supplement companies have made Informed-Sport part of their existing quality assurance systems to ensure their products are safer for athletes to use.

STAGE 3

USE OF LOGO

Research has shown that ongoing testing has proven to be a far more effective way to prevent inter-batch contamination occurring. Informed-Sport is the only programme that requires ongoing testing to assist in providing athletes with continual confidence in the products that carry the Informed-Sport logo.

Athletes who see the Informed-Sport logo on a product can be assured it has undergone rigorous checks and testing to ensure that the product has been tested for banned substances and is safer for use.

PAS has batch screened every product we have made since 2006 and were among the first to fully commit to the Informed Sport Registration Program when it launched. PAS was formed to supply the demands of elite sport and batch testing and ensuring athletes safety was one of our core principles.

Colostrum

Sodium Bicarbonate

COLOSTRUM

Colostrum At present cannot be included on the Informed Sport Register due to the fact in contains natural occurring IGF-1. This compound is on the WADA banned list as synthetic IGF-1 is a highly anabolic comound and its use in sport is prohibited. The IGF-1 in Colostrum however is naturally occurring in the milk that is collected from the cow and as such cannot pass through the gut wall in humans and therefore it does not pose a risk. We believe that Colostrum should be on the register and will continue to request but until that time we will batch screen for safety.

BESPOKE PRODUCTS

There will be occasions when PAS produces a one off bespoke run for a team or organization, in these circumstances we do not register the product but batch screen.

On each product page we will clearly highlight which is an Informed Sport Product or if its been batch screened
